Roberts Gallery has specialized in Canadian Art since the mid 1950’s and has had the honour of handling some of Canada’s best-known artists. To this day, the gallery handles only Canadian artists and represents an eclectic group of contemporary artists from across the country. Perhaps best known for their dealing in Canadian historical work, they currently have associations with the estates of John Gould, Arthur Shilling, Franklin Carmichael and A.J. Casson to name a few. The current list of contemporary artists range from coast to coast and are as diversified as traditional landscape painters to mixed media abstract artists.
Roberts Gallery is pleased to present “Timelessness”, a solo exhibition by Quebec artist, Jeannette Perreault. Essentially, she is an autodidact, but also enrolled part-time at the Université du Québec à Montréal from 1982 to 1984 to study the visual arts, art history and drawing. She has participated in numerous workshops for life drawing. Her primary medium is oil on canvas. Her work can be found in numerous private and corporate collections in Canada, US and Europe. Also exhibited will be numerous works by a variety of Canadian historical artists such as Arthur Shilling, Tom Roberts and Doris McCarthy.
